Role Overview: ERP Finance Specialist works as part of the IT team aligned with our business Finance unit colleagues. This position will work in a support role with the JD Edwards E1 9.2 and ancillary systems at all levels throughout the organisation. The role will be responsible for daily user support, analysing and solving issues, diagnosing problems and recommending solutions. This role will also be responsible for system testing, documentation and configuring the JDE system 9.2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot issues by working with developers and the technical team to test, debug, identify root causes, provide workarounds, and deliver permanent system solutions, including FSD documentation where required
- Manage ServiceNow incidents daily by reviewing, assigning to the right resources, and ensuring timely resolution within SLA with proper updates for end users
- Propose and prepare SQL fixes, identify ESUs/patches, and liaise with Oracle Support by raising and coordinating Support Requests (SR) for problem resolution
- Manage Change Requests according to the Change Management process, including system analysis, technical proposals, cost estimation, time/resource planning, and risk/impact assessment
- Support system updates and upgrades by assisting the technical team and ensuring smooth implementation
- Research and propose JDE process improvements and optimisations for FDAL review and approval
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide functional support, resolve user requests and ad-hoc questions, and create high-level training materials to support SOP development
- Ensure excellent customer service and effective teamwork to support the successful run of JDE business processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, specifically in financial processes configuration and maintenance
- Practical knowledge of JDE E1 in Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain processes
- Strong subject matter expertise in the Finance functional area
- Practical knowledge of SQL, including troubleshooting and preparing fixes
- Understanding of system and network architecture, JDE system platform, database design, data flow, and data models
- Ability to analyse, design, and build complex ERP processes with strong process orientation
- Skilled in documenting technical and functional requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and project teams
- Experience in documenting and troubleshooting system errors, as well as creating and delivering training materials
