Role Overview
As a GL Accountant within the IMI Climate Control Business Services Centre (BSC), you will be part of a regional finance team supporting the Climate Control platform across Europe. Based in Olkusz, you will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data through general ledger activities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their accounting expertise in a collaborative, international environment. You will be involved in core accounting processes such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing, while also supporting audit and tax reporting. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues specializing in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, and Financial Reporting, gaining exposure to best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Environment:
Hybrid – a combination of on-site work in the Olkusz office and remote flexibility (1 day per week in the Office).
Key Responsibilities
· Post financial transactions (MJEs) in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.
· Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Support month-end closing by preparing reports, schedules, and ensuring timely execution of tasks.
· Prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and group policies.
· Assist in preparing data for tax declarations (CIT & VAT) and statutory financial statements (SFS), ensuring deadlines are met.
· Participate in financial projects aimed at improving accounting processes and increasing efficiency.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across departments.
Critical Competencies for Success
· Experience in general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
· Ability to work independently on routine tasks and identify issues requiring escalation.
· Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
· Willingness to contribute to process improvements and implement changes impacting own work.
· Ability to guide junior team members and share knowledge within the team.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or completion of second-level accounting courses with solid accounting knowledge.
· Experience in AP/AR or general accounting (typically 3+ years).
· Proficiency in English (minimum B1 level).
Travel Requirements:
· Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or audit support.
Salary Proposed:
8000 - 9000 PLN Gross
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
