Position Summary
IMI Climate Control is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Norwegian Sales Team based in Trondheim.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships across the district from Kristiansund to Northern Norway. The role focuses on identifying customer needs and translating them into value-adding IMI solutions while delivering sustainable sales growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with wholesalers, consultants, contractors, installers, and property owners, taking ownership of opportunities from initial customer engagement through to order conversion and ongoing account development.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IMI Climate Control solutions.
- Build long-term partnerships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor supporting customers in selecting efficient hydronic solutions.
Sales & Business Development
- Manage the complete Inquiry-to-Order process within the assigned territory.
- Achieve agreed sales and profitability targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region.
- Promote the full IMI Climate Control portfolio and value proposition.
- Drive specification and adoption of IMI solutions among consultants, contractors and end users.
Account Management
- Be responsible for day-to-day management of the assigned customer portfolio.
- Maintain regular customer contact through visits, meetings and technical discussions.
- Communicate pricing updates, commercial conditions, product launches and other relevant business information.
- Develop account plans to support long-term customer growth.
Technical Support
- Deliver technical presentations and product training.

Support customers throughout project planning and solution selection processes.
- Provide technical guidance and application recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical support teams to ensure successful project execution.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Customer Service, Technical Support, Product Management and Sales colleagues.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline information.
- Support local and regional business initiatives.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback with the wider organization.
Qualifications
Education
- Relevant technical education or engineering background.
- HVAC, building services or hydronic systems knowledge is considered an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in technical sales, business development or account management.
- Experience working within larger organizations is considered beneficial.
- Experience engaging with wholesalers, consultants, contractors or installers is an advantage.
- Experience with governance and compliance-related processes is considered a merit.
Knowledge & Skills

Travel Requirements
- Regular travel throughout the assigned territory from Kristiansund to Northern Norway.
