Role Overview

IMI’s Climate Control sector is seeking a proactive and hands on Online Marketing Specialist for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) to support both our Central and Local Marketing teams in delivering high performing digital campaigns. In this role, you will focus on executing and optimising website updates, landing pages, email marketing funnels, lead management and lead nurturing programmes, analytics and reporting. You will play a key role in activating campaigns across our digital ecosystem and providing implementation support and best practice guidance to local markets. Your contribution will be instrumental in scaling and localising global campaigns while maintaining digital marketing excellence across regions. As part of this role, you will also take ownership of SEO performance across the DACH region, ensuring that our website, content, and digital campaigns are optimised for visibility, search intent, and sustainable organic growth. You will play a key role in strengthening our search presence through technical SEO enhancements, content optimisation, and data driven insights that support both central and local marketing activities. This position reports to the Global Marketing Activation Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Analysis
  • Develop and implement comprehensive online marketing strategies with a special focus on SEO-led growth.
  • Conduct market, competitor, keyword, and target group analyses.
  • Define measures based on KPIs, customer journeys, and web analytics insights.
  • Identify SEO opportunities across all digital touchpoints and align them with broader marketing objectives.

 

Website Management, SEO & Content Optimisation

  • Coordinate and execute website updates and local content changes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across markets.
  • Oversee and further develop the company website with a strong focus on technical SEO, onpage optimisation, content structure, and overall usability.
  • Create and optimise landing pages for campaigns and events, ensuring strong user experience, SEO alignment, and conversion performance.
  • Build and connect contact forms to the appropriate landing pages, workflows, and leadmanagement processes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for local marketing teams regarding website content creation, updates, issue resolution, and bestpractice guidance.
  • Plan, create, and optimise content (e.g., landing pages, blog posts, newsletters, whitepapers) based on keyword research, searchintent analysis, and contentgap insights.
  • Implement and monitor SEO best practices, including:
  • Onpage optimisation: meta tags, H1/H2 structure, internal linking, image optimisation, schema markup
  • Offpage SEO: linkbuilding strategies, outreach initiatives, and content partnerships
  • Technical SEO: crawlability, indexing, pagespeed improvements, Core Web Vitals, and mobile performance optimisation

 

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)

  • Integrate GEO principles to enhance the website’s visibility in AI‑generated answers across platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and other large language model (LLM)driven search experiences.
  • Optimise content for semantic clarity, structured data, and contextual relevance to increase the likelihood of being referenced by AI models.
  • Ensure that key pages, FAQs, product descriptions, and market‑relevant content are designed to be easily understood, indexed, and prioritised by generative AI systems.
  • Collaborate with digital PR and content teams to strengthen the brand’s presence across authoritative sources (e.g., Wikipedia, review sites, industry portals), supporting both SEO and GEO visibility.

 

Marketing Automation

  • Build and maintain automated email marketing workflows to enhance customer experience and support the full leadmanagement lifecycle.
  • Implement marketing automation programmes (e.g. nurture journeys, triggered emails, followup workflows) aligned with campaign objectives and market needs.
  • Manage email lists, audience segmentation, and leadscoring models to ensure targeted and relevant communication.
  • Support local teams with pre and postevent activities in Pardot, including lead capture, data import, and followup workflows.
  • Connect SEOdriven insights with content personalisation and marketing automation opportunities to improve engagement and conversion.

Campaign Activation

Collaborate with local markets to ensure the effective activation of marketing campaigns, including:

  • Creation of localised landing pages
  • Creation and connection of contact forms on the website
  • Activation of email funnels
  • Lead import, management, and nurturing
  • Development of campaign dashboards in Salesforce
  • Preparation of monthly campaign reporting for OPR, as well as ad-hoc reporting as required

Performance Marketing

  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid campaigns across:
  • Google Ads (SEA)
  • Social Ads (Meta & LinkedIn)
  • Display and retargeting channels
  • Collaborate on SEO–SEA synergies to maximise search performance
  • Monitor campaign performance and manage advertising budgets

Social Media & Community Management

  • Develop and implement social media strategies
  • Create and schedule content for social channels
  • Manage community interactions and engagement
  • Ensure social content aligns with brand voice and SEO-driven content themes

Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimisation

  • Prepare regular performance reports covering SEO, website analytics, paid media, email performance, and campaign activation.
  • Track and analyse key metrics across the full digital funnel, including campaign activation, lead conversion, engagement, organic traffic trends, and keyword performance.
  • Conduct SEO audits, monitor keyword rankings, assess organic search performance, and produce actionable recommendations for optimisation.
  • Collaborate with local teams to identify highperforming tactics, share insights, and drive continuous improvement across digital activities.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Degree in marketing, communications, media or related field.
  • 5 years professional experience in online marketing channels and tools.
  • Proven experience in SEO, including keyword research, content optimisation, technical SEO, and use of SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Yoast).
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio).
  • Experience with CMS platforms and marketing automation systems (Salesforce Account Engagement preferred).
  • Datadriven mindset and strong project management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with international/multi-language marketing environments.
  • Global mindset with the flexibility to collaborate across time zones and cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in German (native) with a strong command of English (C1 level required).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
