We listen closely and we think differently, creating space for diverse minds to innovate. We are working together to make businesses safer, more sustainable and more productive.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a pragmatic and experienced Data Architect to own the design, development, and management of our enterprise data architecture on the Azure platform. This is a critical, hands-on role focused on translating complex business requirements from our manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations into scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions.

You will be responsible for designing the blueprint for our data ecosystem and will play a key part in building the data pipelines and models that power our business intelligence, reporting, and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Architectural Design: Design and document the end-to-end data architecture on Azure. Select the most appropriate Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database) to meet current and future business needs.

·       Data Modeling: Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Design and implement optimal data warehouse and data mart schemas (e.g., dimensional modeling) to support efficient reporting and analytics.

·       Hands-On Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize robust and scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Azure Data Factory and SQL (T-SQL, Stored Procedures).

·       Data Integration: Manage the flow of data from various internal and external sources, including our core ERP system (e.g., JDE) and other operational systems, into the central data platform.

·       Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with business analysts, department leaders, and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements, define key metrics, and deliver effective technical solutions.

·       Governance & Quality: Establish and promote data governance principles, including data quality standards, data definitions (data catalog), and security policies to ensure data integrity and security.

·       Documentation & Standards: Define and implement development standards, including the use of source control (e.g., Git/Azure Repos). Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, data dictionaries, and architecture blueprints.

·       Performance & Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and data warehouse performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure data integrity and availability.

Critical Competencies for Success:

·       Experience: 5-7+ years in data-centric roles (e.g., Data Engineering, Data Architecture), with proven, hands-on experience designing and building data solutions on the Azure platform.

·       Core Azure Expertise: Strong proficiency in the core Azure data stack, especially:

o   Azure Data Factory

o   Azure SQL Database & Azure Synapse Analytics

o   Azure Data Lake Storage

·       Expert SQL Skills: Demonstrable expertise in writing complex SQL and T-SQL, performance tuning, and developing stored procedures.

·       Data Architecture & Modeling: Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake principles.

·       Scripting: Proficiency in Python for data manipulation or automation is a strong plus.

·       Pragmatic Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze business needs and data challenges, and translate them into practical, effective technical solutions.

·       Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain data concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively with other teams.

·       Ownership & Autonomy: A self-starter who can work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of projects from initial design through to implementation and support.

What We Offer:

·       Tremendous potential: Throughout our history, we have been at the forefront of innovation in the HVAC industry and offer industry-leading products to our customers
